Patient Guide for Maxillofacial Surgery
Welcome to your patient guide for maxillofacial surgery at nuFace Hospital. This Patient’s Corner brings together real patient outcomes, practical preparation advice, and aftercare guidance so you feel confident and informed at every stage of your treatment with Dr. Nehal Patel and Dr. Purvi Patel.
Patient Guide for Maxillofacial Surgery: Preparing for Your Procedure
Before your surgery date, our team will guide you through pre-operative blood tests, imaging, and a detailed consultation so you know exactly what to expect. We recommend arranging transport and rest for the days immediately following your procedure, informing us of any existing medications or allergies, and asking any questions during your pre-surgical visit so you arrive feeling prepared and at ease.
What to Expect on the Day of Surgery
On the day of your procedure, please arrive at nuFace Hospital at the scheduled time with a light stomach if advised, along with your reports and ID. Our team will walk you through admission, anaesthesia, and the procedure itself, and Dr. Nehal Patel or Dr. Purvi Patel will personally update your family once the surgery is complete.
Aftercare and Recovery Guidance
After surgery, most patients rest at the hospital for observation before being discharged with clear instructions on diet, oral hygiene, and medication. Mild swelling and discomfort in the first few days are normal, and our team remains available for follow-up visits and any concerns as you heal. Most patients return to daily routines within one to two weeks, depending on the procedure.
